Starting a Small Business

The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center is hosting live webinars for Arkansas veterans who are interested in owning or growing a small business. The training is offered at no charge. Webinars will be held every other Tuesday in May, June and July. The one-hour sessions are based on ASBTDC’s most popular traditional classroom seminars.

“Marketing with Social Media” examines ways to connect with customers online using tools like Facebook, Twitter, blogs and more.

“Procurement Opportunities for Veteran-Owned Businesses” looks at how to tap into the billions of dollars going to veteran-owned businesses through contracts with federal, state and local government and large corporations.

ASBTDC’s Herb Lawrence, Timothy Lee and Rudy Ortiz will rotate as instructors, and ASBTDC webmaster Timothy Lee will provide technical support. All three are military veterans as well as seasoned small business trainers and consultants.
