ArkansasVeteran.com is a portal to bring together in one place veterans-related resources, news, information, and agency contacts for active-duty, Reserve, Guard, and retired Arkansas veterans and their families.

To receive full value from your visit(s) to ArkansasVeteran.com, we recommend the following action steps:

 

1. Create a User Account

The first step should be to create a FREE user account. Why? Because logging-in to ArkansasVeteran.com as an authorized user enables special veteran-only priviledges. Among these are:

  • Access to over 20 online small business courses at no-cost ($600 value)

  • Ability to reply to and create forum topics in all forums

  • Ability to set a custom site-wide theme. Tired of the standard theme? Visit your account setting and choose a service-based or other veteran theme. Your prefence will be saved in a cookie and applied to all site pages everytime you visit.

 

2. Subscribe to ArkansasVeteran.com news feeds

ArkansasVeteran.com makes extensive use of Really Simple Syndication (RSS). We collect news and information from dozens of the best veteran-related sources. Watch for the little orange box icon indicating that an RSS feed is available for that page's content. You can then "subscribe" to that pages content, meaning that, instead of having to remember to visit ArkansasVeteran.com, your browser will automatically check for updates and inform you when new content is available. Current versions of all major browser software now support RSS and RSS feeds.

 

3. Join in ArkansasVeteran.com forum discussions

ArkansasVeteran.com offers forums for each of the major topic areas on the drop-down menu. Feel free to post any veteran-related news or events that you would like your brothers and sisters at arms to know or attend. Have a problem or question, then consider posting in the forums. Several veteran counselors patrol the forums and we'll see if we can't get you an answer or in touch with point of contact for that issue.

As the forums are real-time and anyone logged-in account may post, there are numerous opportunities for operations security (OPSEC) violations. Please refrain from posting any information that might give our nation's advesaries any advantage.

 

4. Tell a fellow veteran

ArkansasVeteran.com is a new service for Arkansas Veterans. Even though there have been press releases, news articles, paid advertisements and other marketing initiatives, people still don't seem to get the word. Please tell fellow veterans that you know and come in contact with about ArkansasVeteran.com.
