Arkansas Veteran Resource Directory and Map

The Arkansas Veteran Resource Directory provides an easy to use tool for locating veteran focused assistance with benefits, claims, employment, health, small business and much more. Assistance providers may be located by county, by assistance provided, and by zipcode proximity. Directory results include addresses, telephone numbers, local maps, links to assistance provider websites.

An interactive Google Map depicting all assistance providers is also available. Users may zoom in/out, drag, and change type of map displayed.

The American Red Cross is supporting shelters at the following locations:

    Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center, 1720 Ferncliff Rd., Little Rock closed

Air Force's secure healthcare messaging, MiCare, now fully implemented

The Air Force has recently completed implementation of its secure healthcare-messaging system, MiCare, to all 76 of its medical treatment facilities worldwide.

The MiCare network also allows beneficiaries to view their healthcare record, make appointments, fill prescriptions, as well as allowing providers to push important preventative care updates to the members.

Come celebrate, honor, and remember our Vietnam veterans on Saturday, April 5th at the Jacksonville Museum of Military History.

Veteran service organizations will be on hand to answer questions and tell about their services from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m..

2014 Scholarships for Military Children is now open

Applications for the 2014 Scholarships for Military Children Program become available Dec. 3 at commissaries worldwide or on the Internet at http://www.militaryscholar.org.

Applications must be turned in to a commissary by close of business Feb. 28, 2014. Packages must be hand-delivered or shipped via U.S. Postal Service or other delivery methods, not emailed or faxed.

This year’s award amount has risen to $2,000, and the program awards at least one scholarship at each commissary with qualified applicants.
